Founder & Chairman of the Board
Gadi Aviran founded Terrogence Ltd. in October 2004 following a prolific and unique career combining military service and private sector security-related positions. He is one of Israel's leading authorities in the field of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Improvised Explosive Devises (IED) Disposal, and maintains an excellent reputation in the small community of technical terror threat analysts worldwide.
He rose to second in command of the IDF EOD / IEDD unit, responsible for R&D, testing, fielding and actively operating numerous technical and tactical means for explosive disposal. In his years of service he participated in numerous combat and counter-terrorism activities.
Gadi served over seven years in the field of technical intelligence analysis, as the head of the TECHINT desk in the IDF Intelligence Production Division (five years in active duty and three in reserve). He was personally responsible for the threat research and assessment derived from post incident classified & unclassified information.
Gadi also co-founded WebintPro (Web Intelligence System) in 2013 and SenseCy (Tailored Cyber Threat Intelligence) in 2014.
Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining Terrogence, Mr. Arbel served as head of a linguistics and technical translation team in one of the most prestigious units of the Israeli Defense Intelligence in the IDF. Following his service, he joined the Israeli Security Agency (ISA), taking a position as an analyst.
Mr. Arbel has been a part of the Terrogence team from the beginning. He first started as head of the collection and translation department. As the company developed and grew, Shai has served as CFO & COO of the company. As of early 2015, Shai now serves as Terrogence CEO.
Shai holds a B.Sc. degree in Economics and Management from Ruppin Academic Center.
Senior C-IED Analyst
Chief Superintendent (ret) Michael Cardash is one of the world's leading experts in recognizing and responding to the threat of IEDs.
With a career as a senior bomb technician spanning some 30 years, Mr. Cardash most recently served as Deputy Head of the Israeli National Police Bomb Disposal Division (2005-2009). Before that he served during crucial periods of unrest as West Bank Bomb Squad commander (1990-1992), Yarkon Bomb Squad Commander (1993-1996), Bomb Disposal Training School Commander (1996-1999), and Chief Bomb Disposal Officer of both the Tel Aviv District (1999-2001) and the Central District (2001-2004). As a leader of these teams, he investigated and responded to various terror attacks, particularly those involving suicide bombing devices. He received the Medal of Courage for outstanding service in 1991.
Mr. Cardash trains law enforcement personnel and bomb technicians from around the world, assists in founding counterterrorism security procedures, and contributes in R&D bomb-disposal projects, researching and developing new tools and equipment for mitigating and defeating IEDs. He currently authors the C-IED assessments in Terrogence's Möbius™ Subscription Intelligence Report Series and advises the Terrogence Physical Threats Team on IED and HME related matters.
Head of Strategic Research and Physical Threats
Mr. Drori joined Terrogence in August 2013 with a vast professional experience that includes having served four and a half years in the Israel Defense Forces' (IDF) Intelligence Corps, as an Analyst, Translator and Course Commander.
He now heads the Departments that are in charge of conducting intelligence collection and analysis on global terror, security threats, online radicalization and terror capabilitiy development. One of the Department's flagship products is Terrogence's HydraTM expert-reports series.
Mr. Drori holds a B.A. in Management and Communications from Tel Aviv University.
Head of Political Analysis Department
Ms. Peleg joined Terrogence in June 2014, after almost a decade in the area of technical translation, editing & QA (localization), equipped with extensive knowledge in research and analysis, technical skills and training experience.
She now heads the Department of Political Analysis, which provides comprehensive, tailored intelligence solutions for Brand Protection, Reputation Management, Sentiment Analysis, and more.
Ms. Peleg holds an M.A. in Latin American Studies, with thesis, from the Hebrew University, and a Certificate in Translation & Translation Editing (HE-EN-SP) from Tel Aviv University.
Director of Business Development and Marketing
Gilles joined Terrogence's management team in January 2017, as its Director of Business Development and Marketing. Prior to that, he led the Homeland Security and Aviation Division of the Israel Export Institute. There, he was in charge of providing Business Development support to over 350 Israeli companies involved in Homeland Security, Defense, Aviation and Cyber, opening doors and making strategic connections with top level decision makers from public and private sector around the world.
His past experiences working for and interacting with different sectors and nationalities, have allowed him to develop a unique perspective and deep understanding of local and international ecosystems.
Gilles is fluent in English, Hebrew and French, and speaks basic Dutch.
