Since the beginning of 2024, OFBCh-3 ammunition for weaponized UAVs used by Russia began to appear on the battlefield in Ukraine. In Russian documentation that has recently surfaced, considerable use of the OFBCh-3 ammunition has been observed. OFBCh-3 is mainly used as ammunition for FPV racing drones, primarily for improvised loitering munitions, but also for armed UAVs. The ammunition, which serves as the main charge, is fitted with an improvised initiation mechanism. Some of these mechanisms consist of improvised point-detonating fuses, occasionally incorporating delay components.
