TGA0804 – Improvised Mines Attached to FPV Drones Used to Lay Mines on Roads by Russian Forces

In late August 2024, a Ukrainian Telegram channel published documentation of improvised mines attached to FPV racing drones, claiming the drones are used to lay the improvised mines by Russian forces. The improvised mines attached to FPV drones were fitted with anti-tank mine fuzes, posing a significant threat to vehicles and personnel along the targeted roads. This tactic aims to rapidly deny vehicle access to the area by installing mines from a distance. However, because these improvised mines are not buried in the ground or properly camouflaged, they are easier to detect.
