The Russo–Ukrainian War, characterized by the widespread use of fixed-wing loitering munitions and weaponized multirotor drones for strike missions and a wide range of other operational tasks, has led to numerous developments and adaptations of weapons and munitions to enable their use on the battlefield by unmanned systems. Among these missions is the emplacement of minefields and the mining of key avenues of approach. For this purpose, new mines with reduced dimensions and weight were developed and existing designs were adapted. Some were specifically intended for deployment by UAV, particularly multirotor drones, while others were designed primarily for manual emplacement but are also suitable for deployment via UAV. Throughout the war, numerous types of mines and dedicated mine-dispensing systems have been documented. This report presents updates on new mines developed or adapted by Russian and Ukrainian forces during 2025–2026.
