On August 6, 2026, a member of a Russian Telegram group focused on combat engineering topics published images of a neutralized BVR-series shaped-charge fragmentation warhead used with FP-series loitering munitions seized in Russian territory. This appears to be the first evidence of this initiation-system configuration on Ukrainian loitering munitions in this theater.
The warhead features two detonator wells in the rear and a dedicated external compartment for the initiation system. The compartment contained a Djonik-K electronic initiation module with electrical wiring, an MUV-2 fuze without a detonator positioned above it, and a VZD-1M mechanical delay fuze embedded in Czech-made “Black Dough” plastic explosive.
