On October 14, 2021, a Bengali-language Telegram channel affiliated with the Islamic State shared an instructional video showing how to prepare two similar models of IEDs with RC initiation systems. The main method of initiation proposed in the video included remote control operation, but special emphasis was placed on utilizing the anti-disturbance component in the receivers, and an explanation was given on how to use it safely to ensure the initiation of the IED while increasing the effectiveness of the attack. IEDs with a similar configuration to those shown in the video have been documented in recent years in use by Islamic State operatives in Bangladesh.
