Controversial remarks about the Prophet Muhammad by two Indian politicians provoked a Global Jihadi propaganda campaign by AQ and IS to avenge the Prophet. Two terror attacks were conducted against Indian targets: an organized raid-suicide attack by ISKP at a Sikh temple in Kabul, Afghanistan, and the beheading of an Indian shopkeeper in Rajasthan, India. The absence of organized and complex terrorist attacks by AQ and IS in India demonstrates their branches have yet to achieve formidable operational capabilities. However, their continuous propaganda campaigns in the different languages spoken in India should not be disregarded, because this propaganda has an audience that in the future, may assist in the expansion of the Global Jihadi threat in the Indian heartland.
