On July 3, 2022, two Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives from Tuksan, in Reasi District, in India’s Jammu and Kashmir, were arrested. In their possession, weapons were seized, including five small cylindrical IEDs with a hollow charge configuration. The two detainees were linked to recent terrorist attacks in the Rajuri area.
The seized IEDs are known to be used by Pakistan-backed groups active in the Punjab and Kashmir regions. These IEDs are another example of the variety of IEDs, mostly sticky IEDs, made in Pakistan and transferred using drones to various organizations for collection in Jammu & Kashmir, intended for use in terrorist attacks in India.
