Mobius report 75/2022 – Armenian-Made Mines Used in Azerbaijan

On September 24, 2022, Azerbaijani border security forces found a cluster of mines in Zangilan District, near the border with Armenia. The weapons were inscribed with Armenian markings. The cluster included mainly Claymore-type mines and two large bounding mines similar to Russian OZM-160 large bounding fragmentation mines. During the fighting between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region in recent years, the use of Armenian mines, most of which are copies of Russian mines, with minor changes, usually in the external configuration, have been documented.
