On September 25, 2022, an explosion occurred in a moving vehicle traveling on Lomonosov Street, in the city of Melitopol, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, in Ukraine. As a result of the explosion, the driver, a Ukrainian citizen, was killed, and the vehicle was split in two. According to Russian reports, documents linking the deceased to the Ukrainian Armed Forces were found on his body, as well as a large amount of cash. In a search of the deceased’s house, IED components were found, including electric detonators, small RC initiation systems and additional unique items. The same initiation systems and unique items were found in several other IEDs and attempted IED attacks in the area and constitute the professional signature of this specific IED-maker.
