On November 14, 2022, a VBIED, reportedly driven by a suicide bomber, initiated in an alley in Hamadeen District, in the Tariq al-Saad neighborhood of the Syrian city of Daraa. As a result of the explosion, damage was caused to nearby buildings, and a former Free Syrian Army commander was killed. Another VBIED was neutralized a few hours later, in the same area, with a main charge of TM-62 anti-tank mines daisy-chained with detonating cord, and an initiation system configured for a suicide bomber. Since the end of October, at least 33 people have been killed in clashes and attacks in the Daraa area by Islamic State militants present in the area, and the 8th Brigade of the Syrian Arab Army, backed by local militias.
