On the morning of October 25, 2022, a VBIED was initiated next to the office of a pro-Russia media company in Melitopol, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine.
According to pro-Ukraine reports, the location is also where the office of the acting governor of Zaporizhzhia Oblast is located. Different reports stated between six and 12 people were injured in the blast and the building complex sustained serious damage.
VBIED attacks are quite rare in Ukraine, but the recent attack in Melitopol may be indicative of a growing trend in the arena.
