On November 23, 2202, two IED attacks targeted two different bus stations in Jerusalem, Israel, about 30 minutes apart. At 07:05 AM, the first IED, planted next to a bus stop at the entrance to Jerusalem, initiated. Two people were killed as a result of the explosion and several more were injured. At 07:35 AM, a second IED planted next to a bus stop at the Ramot intersection of the city, about one kilometer away from the location of the first explosion, initiated. Over 20 people were injured in the two attacks. According to reports, a third IED was planned, intended to initiate at the scene of the second blast, targeting first responders, security forces and investigators. One month after the attacks, the perpetrator of the attacks was arrested. He was revealed to be a resident of East Jerusalem affiliated with the Islamic State, who learned how to prepare IEDs online and experimented with materials and explosives in preparation for the attack.
