During December 2022, an investigation into the June 23, 2021, VBIED attack outside the home of Hafiz Saeed, founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and leader of Jama’at-ud-Da’wah in Johar, Lahore, Pakistan, was published. As a result of the explosion, three people were killed and at least 12 more were injured. No organization has claimed responsibility for the attack and the Pakistanis believe the Indians are to blame. In the results of the investigation, presented by the security authorities of Pakistan, documentation was provided of the components of the VBIED, and its preparation prior to being parked at the scene of the attack, as well as information about the attack planners, who the Pakistanis claim are linked to additional attempted assassinations of LeT members.
