Since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war, new technologies have been developing at a rapid pace, and are being evidenced on the battlefield by both sides. Without a doubt, UAVs are playing a special role in this conflict, providing the possibility to successfully hit enemy targets from a safe distance, and without too much effort. According to what has been demonstrated by both sides in recent months, Ukrainian engineers are investing their efforts mainly in building new UAVs and ammunition out of available and affordable components, or modifying those they already have, while the Russian side is concentrating on analyzing the enemy’s technologies and attempting to produce similar ones. We have therefore observed the appearance of a growing variety of Ukrainian improvised or modified UAVs in recent months.
