They seized a minibus filled with a substantial quantity of explosive materials, IED casings, and other components used to prepare IEDs, intended for use in attacks. Al-Shabaab, a militant group primarily based in Somalia, has significantly expanded its operations and presence in Kenya. Furthermore, the group uses similar IEDs in both Somalia and Kenya, indicating a shared modus operandi between the two locations.
