In recent months, there has been an increase in the use of various drones and UAVs in the Sudanese conflict arena between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the opponents of the military regime, the Rapid Support Forces. The types of drones documented include small drones, large drones, reconnaissance UAVs, armed UAVs as well as FPV racing drone-based improvised loitering munitions. The use of drones is predominantly done by the SAF against the RSF in a variety of TTPs, including armed drone or loitering munition attacks. In addition, the professional deployment of high-quality, military-grade UAVs has been documented, including the Iranian-made Mohajer-6.
