In mid-August 2024, Lebanese Hezbollah documented their firing of a number of improvised rocket-assisted munitions with 122 mm rockets at towns and villages in the north of Israel. In the past, mainly attacks with “Burkan” short-range IRAMs with 330 mm rockets based on the Falagh 2 were shown by the group. Their documentation of the firing of IRAMs with enlarged warheads includes the “Daoud” model, which has a very short-range 107 mm rocket. It appears Hezbollah is expanding the types of IRAMs it is using to include heavy rockets with increased range, to create maximum destruction on the targets of the attacks, while moving the launch sites away from the border with Israel.
