In recent weeks, the number of published FPV racing drone-based improvised loitering munition attacks against enemy personnel and vehicles equipped with ECM systems has risen significantly. This may be explained by the use of new FPV drone technology, such as wire-guided drones and semi-autonomous drones. Another explanation might be that the Ukrainians have gained a temporary advantage by switching to drones that operate on different frequencies than before, enabling them to temporarily strike Russian positions with increased efficiency. Yet another hypothesis suggests the proliferation of more ECM systems on the frontlines of the Russo-Ukrainian war will statistically lead to a rise in ECM system hits being recorded.
