Since September 2023, several publications on Russian Telegram channels involved in the support of Russian engineering units have revealed the mass production of improvised anti-personnel mines in Russia. These are copies of the Soviet PMD-6, produced using available materials and components. According to Russian sources, currently, several types of improvised PMD-type mines are being produced by different Russian groups.
