In the aftermath of the Hamas October 7, 2023, attack in southern Israel, during October and November 2023, documentation of previously unknown, unique weapons made by Hamas, intended for use against naval and aerial targets, surfaced. In the naval arena, documentation of an improvised unmanned underwater vehicle was published, allegedly remotely controlled, designed to target Israeli Navy ships, and in the air arena, an air defense system that includes short-range rockets designed to target military helicopters was presented. Compatible improvised fuses for the anti-aircraft rockets were documented together with a firing system recently seized by the Israel Defense Forces in Gaza.
