Mobius report 29/2026 – Iranian UAV Activity During Operation Roaring Lion (Epic Fury)

As part of the combined military Operation Epic Fury (referred to in Israel as Operation Roaring Lion), conducted by United States and Israeli air forces in Iran, and also after the ceasefire agreement reached on April 7, 2026, extensive documentation emerged of UAVs manufactured by Iran or affiliated organizations – including Lebanese Hezbollah and other members of the “Axis of Resistance” – used to conduct strikes against a range of targets across countries in the region considered allies of the United States.

The visual documentation includes well-known and widely used loitering munitions such as the Sammad-series and Shahed-136, alongside less familiar systems such as the Hadid-110. Some of the platforms incorporate updates and newly observed components, including the Sayyad-107 variant. Notably, widespread use of FPV drone-based improvised loitering munitions employing fiber-optic guidance was also observed.
