Mobius report 72/2023 – Standard Munitions Modified for Electric Initiation of Improvised Loitering Munitions, Ukraine

On August 28, 2023, a video was published on Russian Telegram channels that describes an FPV-based improvised loitering munition whose main payload is a PG-9 warhead modified in accordance with the mission to allow it to explode upon impact with its target. This video describes and explains in detail the types of modifications and adjustments that need to be made to munition items to make them suitable for use with improvised loitering munitions, evidenced in many other documented incidents. Other videos provide detailed evidence of the improvised initiation systems designed to close a circuit when the UAV impacts the target.
