In recent few months, there have been a number of motorcycle VBIED attacks in Colombia. Two of these events took place in the town of Jamundí, in Valle del Cauca Department, about three weeks apart, on May 20 and June 12, 2024, in close physical proximity to each other. The attacks were directed against security forces and according to the investigations, are attributed to FARC dissidents active in these areas.
