In January 2025, following the collapse of the Assad regime, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham forces—now integrated into the interim transitional government—conducted raids on multiple weapons depots in the Homs region, in western Syria. These depots had previously been utilized by Assad’s forces, pro-Iran militias operating in Syria, and Hezbollah. The raids resulted in the seizure and documentation of various weapons, explosive devices, and mines, some of which had previously appeared in the Syrian arena and in other theaters—including in the possession of Hezbollah in Lebanon—alongside items that had not been previously documented in Syria.
