The FP-2 is a derivative of the widely used Ukrainian FP-1 loitering munition. It was developed to provide a medium-range strike capability of up to 200 km, enabling attacks against Russian command and logistics targets in the near rear. The FP-2 is based on the FP-1 airframe with only minor modifications, while carrying a significantly larger warhead at the expense of range. Recently, production began of a new standard warhead for the FP-2, featuring a dedicated initiation system. In parallel with these warhead developments, the FP-2 appears capable of serving not only as a loitering munition, but also as a carrier for FPV drones or air-to-ground rockets.
