Since early 2026, Ukraine has increasingly employed the Merops AS3 Surveyor fixed-wing counter-unmanned aircraft system interceptor. This aerial vehicle carries a fragmentation warhead and is employed against Geran-2 and other Russian UAVs as part of broader layers of air defense solutions. Russian forces recently captured intact exemplars of this UAV. This acquisition enabled them to analyze its components in order to develop potential countermeasures and assess vulnerabilities in the Merops AS3 Surveyor.
