During October 2023, Palestinian terrorist groups in Gaza published footage of several new fixed-wing UAVs manufactured in Gaza, some of which they claim are loitering munitions. The groups have claimed attacks with these UAVs against Israeli targets in their attack on October 7, 2023, after thousands of terrorists infiltrated from Gaza to Israeli territory and slaughtered some 1,300 civilians and soldiers. Some of the UAVs bear similarities to UAVs used by Iranian proxies, indicating the continued proliferation of Iranian technology and knowledge to terrorist groups.
