Mobius report 81/2025 – FP-1 Loitering Munition Employed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Over the past year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have significantly increased their use of the FP-1 loitering munition against long-range targets inside Russian territory. The Czech-produced FP-1 is equipped with an OFB-60-YaU fragmentation warhead and has been documented striking Russian infrastructure and logistics targets at ranges of up to 1,600 km. The dedicated warhead, weighing approximately 59 kg, contains metal ball fragmentation and a forward-mounted EFP penetrator. In parallel, operational use of the FP-2 loitering munition has also been observed. It features characteristics similar to the FP-1 but carries an enlarged warhead of approximately 100 kg, resulting in a reduced operational range.
