TGA0733 Ukrainian UAS Attacks Extending to Central Russia

On the night of February 28, 2023, several simultaneous UAS attacks were recorded in Russian regions. The loitering munitions were launched by Ukrainian forces, targeting different areas in Russia, including those located close to the Russia-Ukraine border, such as Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Adygea, and the Bryansk and Belgorod regions. One reached as far as Moscow Oblast, for the first time since the war began.

A crashed UAS was found in Kolomna, a city located about 100 kilometers southeast of Moscow. According to the reporting, it was loaded with explosives. Several  more loitering munition attacks targeting central areas of Russia were reported later in February and March, demonstrating the growing capabilities of Ukrainian forces for long range strikes.
