In recent months, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have significantly increased the number of loitering munition attacks targeting central Moscow. In most cases, the UAS were downed en route, in districts located closer to Moscow Oblast. However, some reached the heart of the city, for example, the towers of the Moscow International Business Center, also known as the Moskva-City. The attacks are taking place in parallel with the ongoing Ukrainian counter-offensive operation in the field.
Even though the Ukrainian attacks probably did not intend to demolish their targets or claim human lives, the fact the loitering munitions are reaching Moscow, and are not being intercepted on the border or in open spaces en route is already a problem for the Russian side.
