TGA0876 – AQAP Inspire Guide 12 Recycles IED Instructions Following Bondi Beach Attack in Sydney

On March 23, 2026, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula’s Al-Malahem media network released the 12th issue of its Inspire Guide magazine, titled “Tonight, the Bullets Speak.” Published as part of the “Open Source Jihad” series, the issue analyzes a mass-casualty shooting attack targeting Jewish civilians at Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia, and outlines the perpetrators’ profile and operational impact.

The publication continues AQAP’s pattern of leveraging independently conducted attacks in Western countries for propaganda purposes, previously seen in references to incidents in Manchester, Colorado and Washington, D.C. Notably, the issue republishes step-by-step visual instructions for assembling an IED, identical to one that featured in an older Inspire issue.

In the current geopolitical context, marked by rising anti-Jewish violence in Western cities, the reintroduction of these technical guides is assessed as a deliberate effort to enable future lone-wolf attackers by enhancing their lethality through the integration of IEDs.
