On May 17, 2025, images of Chinese artillery shells dubbed “DLB-P” precision-guided munitions – modified guided gliding bombs – surfaced online. According to online publications, apart from the artillery shell-based gliding bombs, China is also currently producing locally-made guidance kits that transform standard dumb bombs into guided bombs, as a part of a broader program to create low-cost, high-precision weapons.
