TGA0881 – Ukrainian Forces Inspect Downed Russian “Klin” Loitering Munition

On March 22, 2026, images of a Russian loitering munition designated “Klin,” seized and disassembled by Ukrainian forces, were shared on the Telegram channel of a Ukrainian UAV specialist. The loitering munition, manufactured by the Roboavia company, was previously presented at a Russian military exhibition in October 2025. The Klin features a delta-wing configuration.

The Klin has been documented in at least two operational contexts since its introduction. On February 10, 2026, Ukraine’s 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade reported the first confirmed interception of a Klin UAV using an interceptor drone near Orikhiv, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, southeastern Ukraine. A Klin was also reportedly observed in June 2025 over the Black Sea, where it was used against a Ukrainian unmanned surface vessel, likely a Magura V5 or Sea Baby platform, near offshore drilling platforms.

Overall, the Klin appears to represent a semi-autonomous loitering munition designed for extended-duration operations, potentially enabling a single operator to supervise multiple platforms simultaneously. Its integration of commercially available components, including communication and power systems, may support cost-effective production and scalable deployment. The availability of multiple warhead configurations further suggests flexibility in targeting a range of tactical and logistical objectives.
