The same type of loitering munition had been previously documented in use by both Lebanese Hezbollah and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq IRI – two Iran-backed armed Shiite groups. This highlights the continuous proliferation of Iranian technology and weapons systems to its various proxies across the Middle East.
