Unmanned ground vehicles continue to be deployed for various military assignments in the Russian-Ukrainian theater of operations. Increasing numbers of these systems are used to conduct offensives with RCIEDs mounted on them. This tactic is typically documented with substantial explosive payloads during assaults on fortified enemy positions. However, a recently documented method depicted a successful attack with a small UGV, fitted with an RC initiation system and a 120 mm mortar round as its main explosive charge against an unsuspecting infantry patrol.
