Mobius report 40/2026 – Morok Fixed-Wing Loitering Munition with Electromechanical Fuze, Ukraine

In early 2026, Russian forces published detailed documentation of a Ukrainian Morok loitering munition recovered largely intact. The Morok integrates a specialized fragmentation warhead paired with a base-detonating electromechanical initiation system. Field documentation indicates that variants of this architecture have been deployed on Ukrainian fixed-wing loitering munitions since at least December 2023. The core design relies on a remote-controlled safety and arming mechanism driven by a commercial micro-servo motor, which prevents the striker from hitting the MD-5M detonator. Upon receiving an arming command from the ground control station, the servo rotates and displaces the safety yoke, thereby arming the system and allowing a spring-loaded inertial mass to overcome its bias and initiate the detonator upon target impact.
